Building digital products with style and purpose.
Hi, I’m Brendan, a freelance web designer and front-end developer. For 10 years, I’ve been designing brands, crafting websites and generally trying to make the web a better place.
I specialise in responsive web design, built with modern CSS to be blazing-fast, robust and accessible to everyone. In short: I can help you to get the most out of your website.
I've worked with over 120 companies—large and small—to plan, design, code, test and maintain their online presence. Meticulous and skilled in both design and code, I provide a complete service from sketch to server.

The highlight of my 4-year stint at Sheffield agency, Aspire Creative, was building this award-winning catering experience for Dine. The project involved planning, designing and coding the user flows and design system for an interactive menu-building app, tailored specifically for large events organisers. It won Best Use of Technology at the 2018 Catey Awards.
While at Aspire, I spent 2 years honing and maintaining the frontend interface for the UK branch of this international legal software provider and their Enterprise Solutions department. This also included developing a series of landing pages for their range of over 30 products, using a static site generator to speed up our publishing workflow.
Design and development for this Sheffield-based software development firm included initial prototyping, UI design and graphics production straight through to developing code. I had a hand in all stages of production.
I've been lead designer at UK wool distributor and retailer, Artyarn, for 7 years. Core responsibilities have included establishing a design system for their online shop built with the EKM e-commerce platform, as well as providing branding, graphic design and photography services.
